  38. Restriction: The Microsoft VCOMM driver used to provide serial port services
  39. in console windows does not support Plug-and-Play.  Therefore, it is unable to
  40. initialize Plug and Play serial devices when they are added to the system, and
  41. so the console-mode version of Kermit 95 can not use PCMCIA modems on Windows
  42. 95 unless they are previously initialized by some other program, such as
  43. Hyperterminal.  This restriction will be lifted when conversion of Kermit 95
  44. to a full GUI application is complete.

  52. This is a feature of Windows 95.  You can defeat it by changing the properties
  53. of console windows.  From the FAQ at the top of the BUGS.DOC file:

  58. A: Create a CONAGENT.PIF file in the WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.  Do this by

  60.    and choose the Properties item from the menu.  Select whatever fonts
  61.    and other Window properties that you would like.  Then these settings
  62.    will be used by K95.EXE when started from the K95DIAL.EXE.  They will
  63.    also affect any other WIN32 console applications started from a GUI
  64.    based program.  ALSO SEE: the section "CREATING SHORTCUTS" in the
  65.    Kermit 95 READ.ME file.
